Orphan Care

There are a multitude of ways to care for and support orphans.  The staggering number calls for more than adoption to solve the problem.  Check out the following ways you can become involved in caring for “the least of these.”

The Crazy Love Campaign: Love a L.O.T

Love a L.O.T. provides residential care for the children who live in the Jeremie, Haiti orphan village.  $35 a month provides meals supplies, water, electricity, fuel, salaries for caretakers and much more.  $10 a month covers school expenses and a meal for the children, allowing them to gain a much needed education.

World Vision: Child Sponsorship

As a sponsor, you will help provide a child with sustainable access to appropriate life-changing basics like nutritious food, clean water, healthcare, and education.
Child sponsorship also helps families and communities lift themselves out of poverty by providing job training, business coaching, small loans, along with training to help poverty-affected farmers learn new ways to irrigate and grow crops.  The cost of sponsorship is about $1 a day.

Childrens Hope Chest

Your financial commitment of $34/month provides for the most basic needs of children in the community. HopeChest will assist in providing food, water, access to basic medical care, education and discipleship. While $34 cannot meet all the needs of a child suffering through extreme poverty, it does provide significant help.

Tennessee Baptist Childrens Home

Across Tennessee, individuals are joining together to make a difference in a child’s life as a Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home Volunteer.  And hour or two every three to six months is all it takes to work for the benefit of these children.  Check out their volunteer page for more information.
